I always try to remember it when I someone here mentions it...then promptly forget again. I'm gonna *try* to do better this year. I was making an apple pie just a while ago for tonights dessert, although one of the kids asked for pumpkin. So perhaps pumpkin shall be my Pi day pie :)

This was the first year I'd heard about it, and I had planned to make a lobster pot pie for the occasion, but then my work schedule changed so I won't have time to make it on that date. Maybe next year.

Thanks, Dimitri, I couldn't find a recipe for raisin pie and this will do nicely. You wouldn't happen to have a recipe for a two crust raisin pie would you? When I was growing up in the Carolinas, this was referred to as a Funeral Pie.....you took one over when someone died. -ginny
