Yes! This routine built and built beyond expectation. I don't think
it's
the sort of thing that would be anywhere near as effective as
a recurring bit, but the show knocked it out of the park the first
time.
Not like the Givl Man bit, which was one of those sort of stupid ideas
that did gain momentum simply by happening repeatedly--a Letterman
specialty. Though initially that bit had the excellent comic point
of the guy vastly underestimating how many dollars it really took
to possess Givl-You Money.
