Subject: Thunderbird Error: The Current Command Did Not Succeed
Yesterday I was working on a pair of computers with Thunderbird
running (2.0 on one, 3.0b1 pre on the other).  I deleted a message on
one and when I came back to the other machine, the message was still
there but when I went to trash it, I started getting this error, and
now I can no longer check my mail.  I'm using IMAP, and turned on
logging, and the lines that seem to indicate an error are:

0[1594488]: failed creating protocol instance to play queued
url:imap:[email address]@imap.gmail.com:993/liteselect>/INBOX

0[1594488]: offline imap url failed :imap://
[email address]@imap.gmail.com:993/liteselect>/INBOX

0[1594488]: failed creating protocol instance to play queued
url:imap:[email address]@imap.gmail.com:993/onlinemove>UID>/
INBOX>11246>/Trash

0[1594488]: offline imap url failed :imap://
[email address]@imap.gmail.com:993/onlinemove>UID>/INBOX>11246>/
Trash

I'm guessing it's still trying to move that message (#11246) to the
trash, but can't and then fails.  Does this seem correct?  Does anyone
know how I can fix this?  Thanks.

If you shutdown and restart Thunderbird, the problem will go away.

I've restarted it, I've installed the newest daily build, and I'm
restarted the PC.  I still get:

The current command did not succeed.  The mail server responded: No
messages match. (Failure)
.
When I try to check my new messages, and nothing new will download.

Try opening the folder's properties dialogue, and rebuild the index.

BTW, is the problem with the alpha release?

Rebuilding the Index worked, thanks, I didn't even know that option
was there.

I'm running the nightly build on 3.0 on one machine and 2.0.0.16 on
another, so the nightly build is now 3.0b1pre, so an early build of
the first beta, so that would still be an alpha build I guess.
